Be written as soon after the meeting or interview as possible.

Demonstrate your social skills, express your appreciation, it can reaffirm your interest in the position and it can strengthen your candidacy.

Be given to anyone who assisted you.

Have the individual's title and name spelled correctly.

Be typed or word processed not handwritten or on a card.

State your sincere gratitude and also restate any positive event or idea that was discussed during the interview so that they remember you.
