Checklist for success

In as much detail as possible, know what skills you have, where and how you would most like to use them.
Look at written resources and talk to people to pinpoint a person/people to interview.
Make arrangements for the interview.
Know what questions you want to ask.
Conduct the interview.
Send a thank-you letter.
Evaluate the information gathered.
Make a record of the contact (name/address/phone/information discussed/etc.)
Pinpoint other people to interview based on what you yet need to know.
