Art Peck, CEO of Gap Inc. expresses in a thoughtful letter to their consumers, the strides and determination that they have in reducing their carbon footprint. By partnering with existing companies and creating new entities, it is Peck’s goal to combine forces as no one company can save the world.
Below are some of the initiatives that Gap has implemented with plenty of opportunity for innovative and collaborative individuals to take a part of.
- Addressing Global Water stress- Gap Inc. will conserve a total of 10 billion liters of water by the end of 2020.
- Improving Cotton Production Practices- Gap brand will source 100% of its cotton from more sustainable sources by 2021
- Combating Climate Change- We’re cutting the carbon footprint of all of Gap Inc. ‘s globally owned and operated facilities in half by 2020
