The purpose of Teachers College Council is to offer students an opportunity to become involved in the Teachers College; to inform students about important issues that concern the college; to serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrators within the university; to provide a forum for expression of students’ opinions and concerns; enhance student life through social, academic, and awareness programming; to recognize outstanding student and faculty achievements; to offer students an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop teaching skills; to promote and provide service to the community; and to promote ongoing awareness and understanding of diversity.
